Since iOS10 no more airplay with airport express

Hi,

I downloaded iOS10 yesterday on an iPhone SE.

Everything is ok except that I can't no more connect to airport express' airplay. However I can connect to Apple TV airplay. I've tried to restart airport express (no upgrade available i'm using version 7.6.7), iPhone and still no icon to connect to airport express.

With my macbook pro 13" retina, there's no problem, I can see both airplays and they work flawlessly.

Any idea what I can do?

I found the solution on the web ...

you have to swipe to the right - music menu - and only then you can choose airport express' AirPlay.

This is awesome ... why make it simple if you can make it complicate.

I found the controls, but it doesn't bloody work. When I press on the icon to choose a speaker, it doesn't offer me the Airport Express network which neither my phone more computer has ever had a problem with.

Apple please take note!

after spending a few wonderful hours on the phone, (hours I will never get back) here is what I found.

pull up your control menu from the bottom of the screen swiping up, as you did before to access your various airplay devices, then swipe from right to left... your airplay menu will then show up at the bottom.

Apple should really make a mention of something they make changes on when releasing a new iOS...

Apple does! They provide free user guides with each major iOS release for the iPhone, iPad, & iPod touch. You can even install them directly to your iPhone and read it via iBooks.
